Couples and Relationship Therapy

Couples & Relationship Therapy in Denver, CO and Online Across Colorado

Build stronger, more connected relationships — whatever shape they take.

Relationships are one of the most meaningful parts of life… and sometimes, the hardest. Whether you’re navigating the ups and downs of a romantic partnership, building healthier dynamics with family, or exploring non-traditional relationship structures, therapy can offer a space to slow down, get curious, and grow together.

I’m Bridget Weigel, LPC. I offer Couples & Relationship Therapy for clients across Denver and throughout Colorado, both virtually and in person. My practice is inclusive, trauma-informed, and welcoming to relationships of all shapes and structures — from long-term monogamous couples to ethical non-monogamy (ENM) and polyamorous relationships, to adult siblings and parent-child relationships seeking repair and deeper understanding.

Why Couples & Relationship Therapy?

Every relationship has patterns. Some of them nurture closeness. Others — often shaped by attachment wounds, stress, or past experiences — create distance, conflict, or reactivity.

Couples and relationship therapy offers a space to explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion. We’ll work together to understand what’s happening beneath the surface, strengthen emotional connection, and build the tools needed for more secure and fulfilling relationships.

Common goals include:

  • Improving communication

  • Navigating conflict more effectively

  • Building trust and emotional safety

  • Strengthening intimacy (emotional, physical, or sexual)

  • Exploring relational needs in ENM or poly structures

  • Repairing ruptures or betrayals

  • Deepening understanding across family relationships (siblings, parent-child)

  • Supporting transitions like cohabitation, marriage, parenting, or conscious uncoupling

Inclusive & Affirming Relationship Therapy

Relationships don’t have to fit a mold to be valuable. I am affirming of and experienced in working with:

  • Ethical Non-Monogamy (ENM) and polyamorous relationships

  • LGBTQIA+ partnerships and family systems

  • Kink-aware dynamics

  • Adult siblings and parent-child relationships seeking healing

  • Couples in long-term monogamous partnerships

  • Couples exploring conscious separation or repair

Whether you’re here to deepen your connection, repair old wounds, or explore new relational dynamics, this is a space where your relationship(s) will be respected and supported.

How I Work in Couples & Relationship Therapy

M.O.V.E Wix stuff (10).png
At the heart of my work is the understanding that relationships activate the nervous system — often in ways we can’t see at first.

I help clients slow down and recognize the emotional and body-based patterns that drive disconnection, reactivity, or shutdown. Together, we build new ways of relating that foster trust, safety, and authentic connection.

I integrate:

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to deepen emotional attunement

  • Somatic awareness to support nervous system regulation in relationship

  • Parts work to explore the internal stories that show up in relational dynamics

  • Tools for clear communication and boundary setting

  • Trauma-informed support for relationships impacted by past experiences
